This dulcimer has a Western Red Cedar bookmatched top and back sides and scroll of Cherry.  The Western Cedar gives it a nice warm tone that is well balanced with a very clear tone that allows each note to be heard clearly. The fretboard is Cherry with 16 nickel silver frets (including a 6½, and 13½ frets) with a full two octave range and Abalone position markers. The tuning keys are Grover Sta-Tites with a 14:1 gear ratio and lifetime manufacturer's warranty. The string action is low, which makes the dulcimer very easy to play.  A great choice for both a beginner or experienced player. Note: Strap buttons are already installed and either loop end or ball end strings can be used.

I usually only make flathead style dulcimers for custom orders. But lately I've been getting increasing demand for these so thought I would build a few for stock. This is a very nice example with a rare bookmatched Birdseye Maple top and bookmatched Walnut back and sides. The layered Walnut fretboard has 16 nickel silver frets (including a 6½, and 13½ frets) with a full two octave range and Mother-of-Pearl position markers . The gold Grover 14:1 gear ratio Sta-Tite tuning keys are set in a headstock with matching Birdseye Maple overlay.  This dulcimer also features an internal piezo pickup with gold hardware, including strap buttons. Very nice dulcimer at an excellent price.

Sorry - This dulcimer is sold.

This is a unique TK dulcimer because it has a Spalted Walnut top. I've seen hundreds of TK dulcimers but never one like this.  Very nice coloring in the top although the pictures are inadequate to show it. The sound of this dulcimer is also warmer than typical TK dulcimers - I wood describe it as a "woody" type tone.  Nice dulcimer.

This all Walnut dulcimer is the most popular TK dulcimer model by far.  This particular one has a nice warm tone and the volume seems to be just a little louder than the typical TK dulcimer.  Good choice for anyone.

Cyprus has a tone similar to Spruce with a bit more volume than the average TK dulcimer. The wood is a creamy blonde color that matches the walnut very well.
