This baritone dulcimer has a bookmatched "Birdseye Maple" top with nice grain figures. The top and back are bookmatched Walnut. I often choose Maple tops for baritones because the natural brightness of the wood adds a great deal of clarity to the sound whereas some woods tend to get "muddy" in the bass. The fretboard has a 26" scale with 18 nickel silver frets including a 1½, 6½, 8½ and 13½ frets for a full two octave range on each string. The inlays are Abalone and the gold Grover Sta-Tite tuners have a 14:1 gear ratio and lifetime manufacturer's warranty. The nut and bridge are bone for a clean, clear tone and lifetime durabilty. Matching gold strap buttons are included installed and it is setup to use either loop or ball end strings. It is equipped with an internal piezo pickup for connection to an amplifier, sound effects pedals or sound system using a standard 1/4" guitar cord.

This dulcimer was actually made in 2021 and I liked the sound so much that I kept it around intending to do some dulcimer recording. Unfortunately, I just can't get motivated to record these days so it has sat in a case unused since it was made. Well, it's much too nice a dulcimer not to be played so I've decided to put it up for sale. It features a bookmatched Butternut top, which produces a very warm resonant tone. The back and sides are bookmatched Walnut, the fretboard Walnut with a Butternut center section to perfectly compliment the top. The scale length is 26" with 18 nickel silver frets including a 1½, 6½, 8½ and 13½ frets for a full two octave range on each string. The Grover Sta-Tite tuners have a 14:1 gear ratio and lifetime manufacturer's warranty. The inlays are Abalone and the nut and bridge are Ebony. Matching strap buttons are already installed and it is setup to use either loop or ball end strings. The action is very low for ease of playing and it "plays like a dream".
