Dulcimer Two
This beautiful 6-string Jenny Lind dulcimer has a bookmatched Aromatic Red Cedar top and back - both with very distinct coloring. The front has the appearance of weeping soundholes. The back has a natural heart shape in the upper bout. This is certainly a one of a kind wood pattern!
The fretboard is layered with a Cedar center section and Walnut outside layers and includes 16 nickel silver frets (including 6˝ & 13˝ frets) and Mother of Pearl inlaid position markers. As for sound - it has a rich, warm, crisp tone with great volume and projection. The soundholes are Dragon Flies and Medium Vines. This is an heirloom quality instrument !!!!

Dulcimer Two
This 6-string Jenny Lind dulcimer is a great example of why I love the sound of a Walnut dulcimer with a Tulip Poplar top. If you have read my [American Tonewoods] page - this is what I mean by a balanced sound. The bass, mid and treble frequencies are nearly perfectly balanced for a pure, clear, clean warm sound with rich overtones great volume and sustain.
As for appearance, the top, back and sides are all bookmatched. The soundholes are Medium Vines on the bottom and Horses on top. The layered fretboard has 16 nickel silver frets (including 6˝ & 13˝ frets) and Mother of Pearl inlaid position markers. The tuners are Grover Sta-Tites with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty and a 14:1 gear ratio. This is an extremely nice dulcimer with great action and a fantastic sound.
